Lose yourself all day for fun in the California Delta to celebrate the Delta’s famous fruit, along with a variety of live music, great food and wine, classic car exhibit, parade, fun rides for the kids and more at a genuine down-home country setting in the small river town of Courtland, just 20 miles south of Sacramento on the river Hwy 160.

Fair admission is free and a $10 parking fee lets you park your car close to the fair to enjoy the festivities.

Come celebrate the Delta with us! For 38 years, the Pear Fair has been a celebration of the California Delta and one of its tastiest fruits, the pear. The Fair offers a wide range of foods, beverages and entertainment for the whole family in a delta country setting that’s kept its small town appeal to thousands who visit us every year.

Get a taste of the delta in our pear pie and pear smoothies early before they sell out! To quench your thirst, join us in the Coors Beer and Ehrhardt Wine Garden for a cold refreshing pear beer and don’t forget to taste some of the award winning local wines and take home your souvenir wine glass! Transport yourself back in time with the classic car show, or enjoy activities for the kids located on the north side of the fairgrounds with rides and attractions they won’t soon forget.

Admission is free; a $10 parking fee to park all day benefits educational scholarships & the Courtland Volunteer Fire Association that provides plenty of no-hassle parking just a short walk from fair activities. Please note that any vehicle parked on Hwy 160 during the fair is subject to being towed at owners’ expense.

Catch our Parade at 1:00 p.m., a long-standing tradition featuring local talents with their festive floats while competitors await the Pear Fair Queen and Princess decision. Later, sit back and sip one of many unique and tasty beverages to enjoy music from our featured bands or browse through the many crafts and unique art displays available for sale.
